CLEARING (February 2013)
With the help of volunteers, we cleared the years of undergrowth and weeds against the perimeter fence of the M4 section in the Muslim Burial Ground. We also trimmed back the trees much to the joy of the residents who's gardens back onto the Cemetery.
CLEARING (January 2013)
With the help of volunteers, we cleared years of undergrowth and weeds including trimming trees against the fence of the children’s section in the Muslim Burial Ground.
OPENING (Tuesday 25th December 2012)
We opened the gates on Christmas Day as we just so happened to have a meeting scheduled with Committee Members. There were some eight vehicles patiently waiting for the Security Company to unlock the gates.
EID-UL-ADHA PARKING (Friday 26th October 2012)
This was the first major challenge for us as a Group which passed successfully. Huge numbers of visitors were envisioned to descend upon the Cemetery and past problems had been highlighted to us of gridlock on Stonesby Avenue. Our volunteers managed to keep traffic flowing in and out of the Cemetery where up to 2,000 vehicles were directed and parked over a three hour period.
