Having a place where one can visit for reflection and remembrance of a loved one after they have passed away in a supportive setting that is both pleasant and welcoming, is essential to helping cope with this loss. After years of constant use, Saffron Hill Cemetery is in urgent need of love and care. The crucial work the Council does in our Cemetery has been exceptional as it is them who own and maintain it, but their funding is being cut by central government.
The Saffron Garden of Peace Group is a voluntary organisation that has been approved by the Leicester City Council. We are totally independent of any other organisation and not affiliated with other Gardens of Peace projects run in different parts of the country.
